Chanel-O

The March issue of Paris Vogue (I do realize April is tomorrow but I just found it on newsstands yesterday, as Toronto is usually a little bit behind in getting our monthly PV) features an ode to Chanel. I'm not kidding when I say there's a lot of Chanel happening in this packed issue! With stylings care of Ms. Emmanuelle Alt. The cover features Iris Strubegger who recreates a 92' Italian Vogue cover. A plethora of photos after le jump!

(Barneys) Trash doesn't look all that bad

ShopDiary

Christian Louboutin - Barneys Trash
$995

Probably the only time where the words trash, Barneys, and Louboutin are heard in the same sentence.
A double platform, peep toe slingback, PVC coated metallic leather with images of found Barneys and Louboutin objects, 5.5 inch heel, complete with signature leather red soles.
Available exclusively for Barneys and no two pairs are made alike!
As seen on: Rihanna

I'm kinda feeling them, it's like wearable art for your feet
and the one of a kind thing is a bit of a plus!

The Black Leather Belt

I've been on this eternal hunt for a wide black leather belt, something so basic and an essential classic for any complete wardrobe. Yet, I can't seem to find one worthy of investing in as there is always something one off about it - material, thickness, too plain, not practical, price point. Perhaps I'm being picky but in true Vic Lee fashion...I just won't settle until I find "the one."

While parusalling on one of my favourite resources for fashion on the web - shopstyle, I came across some post worthy belts. I absolutely adore the Philip Lim one! Check them out after zee jump!

Sometimes it's the way life should be.

ever wondered what designer fashion might taste like?

The Life Files

Massimo Gammacurta's logo lollipops from Paris Fashion week! It made me think of the edible designer collection at the Berkeley Hotel in the Knightsbridge of London's fashionable high tea. I think that Louboutin cookie is the only Louboutin I could actually afford.

What flavours/tastes would you associate certain designers with?

A few that I can think of at the moment:
Chanel - oysters/cavier/champaign.
Betsy Johnson - strawberry shortcake-ish.
Prada - something on the lines of a full bodied Merlot.

a little satin never hurt anyone

Left to right: Kanye West, John Flora in Maison Martin Margiela, Dior Homme (Inmyparadigm)

Adding a little satin to the lapels or having a satin necktie drape down, à la John Flora in Maison Martin Margiela updates the classic black blazer and gives it that certain je ne sais quoi. Gentlemen, perhaps something to consider for your next grand soiree?

She wears it well

Emmanuelle Alt - Fashion Director of Paris Vogue in her Balenciaga leather jacket that she is often seen wearing (also often seen with Carine). I swear it was made for her.

HBD Barbie!

The iconic fashion doll turns the big 5-0 today! Clearly age isn't stopping this Mattel doll since 50 years later she's rocking Karl Lagerfeld, who has designed an entire collection especially for Ken and Barbie which are on display in Paris this month. Damn she's skinny!
In related news, watch out for real life Barbie shoes in the near future.

twenty8twelve

Million Looks

Just a few photos from the Fall 2009 twenty8twelve collection. I like the effortless and simple styling of each outfit and that trench a lot, a great ready-to-wear line. Not bad Sienna.

America's Most Stylish Men

Por Homme

GQ names Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, and my love T.I. amongst the 10 most stylish men in America. No arguments there. Yum-o!
